Quick Summary: Flightle is a free daily aviation game. You can play 100% anonymously without an account. We never sell your personal data. If you choose to sign in with Google or email, we only save your chosen pilot callsign, avatar, and daily scores for the public Flight Deck Leaderboard.
1. Information We Collect
- Local Storage (No Account Needed): Flightle saves your daily guesses, scores, theme preferences, and streaks directly in your browser’s local storage (
localStorage). This data stays on your personal device unless you sign in.
- Optional Pilot Account: If you sign in via Google or email to sync streaks across devices, we collect your email address, authentication ID, and profile name/avatar via our secure authentication provider (Supabase).
- Leaderboard Data: When you complete games while signed in, your public callsign, daily score, and streak are recorded on the public Flight Deck Leaderboard.
- Anonymous Analytics: We use Google Analytics to measure general site traffic, pageviews, and aggregate game completion rates so we can balance puzzle difficulty. Analytics data is anonymized and does not track you across unrelated websites.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, balance, and maintain the daily game.
- To compute global daily leaderboard rankings and verify high scores.
- To sync your daily progress across your phone, tablet, and desktop.
- We never sell, rent, or monetize your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
3. Third-Party Infrastructure
Flightle uses trusted industry infrastructure providers:
- Supabase: Secure authentication and PostgreSQL database hosting.
- Cloudflare: High-performance edge content delivery network (CDN) and DDoS protection.
- Google Identity Services: Optional 1-click authentication.
4. Terms of Use & Game Data Disclaimer
- Flightle is an educational entertainment puzzle intended for flight enthusiasts, avgeeks, and travelers.
- Not for Real Aviation: Flight paths, airport codes, distances, and spoke networks are compiled from open public datasets (OurAirports, OpenFlights, Natural Earth) and may not reflect real-time active NOTAMs or operational ATC route clearances. Do not use for real-world flight planning.
- Fair Play: Scraping, automated bot submissions, or exploiting leaderboard scores is prohibited.
5. Data Deletion & Contact
You have full control over your data. You may reset your local progress at any time by clearing your browser cache. If you signed in and wish to delete your account, callsign, and scores from our database, email us at [email protected] and we will permanently delete your records within 48 hours.
